I was wondering if anyone knows if while on workmans comp can the irs garnish your wages.? My husband for the past 6 months has been getting his wages garnished by the IRS, Tuesday he broke his foot on the job and he is fileing for workmans comp. since workmans comp only pays 66% of your wages can the IRS OR ANY STATE , FEDERAL ,OR GOV STILL GARNISH.

Disability payments are immune to garnishment.
Disability payments are not considered wages.
