David DePaolo passed away in a motorcycle accident on Sunday.

David was great contributor towards improvements in Worker Compensation especially in California.
His blog, his website, and his ideas were all directed at making the system better for all those that participated.
I periodically visited his site to keep current on events and ideas. He was always a great source of information and a positive attitude.

David was such a positive influence in the workers compensation community, and his Comp Laude awards show his creativity, leadership and how he wanted to highlight and encourage positive behavior. Every year his award ceremony grew. I hope WorkcompCentral will continue with what he wanted to accomplish.

He was also an advocate for injured workers. He cared about the plight of those who did not have a voice.

I am extremely saddened by this and will miss him. He was a special person and very kind. I will say a prayer for his family and I know he is with God right now.

As an injured worker I can say that David's blog has been a learning experience, such a sad loss to be taken so young.
