QME
#1
Hi from California....So after reaching MMI the insurance disputed the disability rating their network doctor gave me, so I ended getting a panel QME that they chose. Today I received the report from the QME that gave me the same rating % that the PTP gave me and agreed with most of the future medical also.So what happens next? Can the insurance dispute to the QME rating also? Is that it they loose???

Doctor's are,t infallible so it,s possible they made an error but barring that, the QMEs opinion will be considered the most credible evidence. The carrier has no medical support for their dispute. The claim can move forward to finalization based on the rating.
there is information on what happens after a QME on the state website
http://www.dir.ca.gov/dwc/medicalUnit/faqIW.html

this is someone else's thread and question.
so as not to confuse the many that search these posts for help with their problem you should start a new thread.
http://www.workerscompensation.com/forum....php?fid=4
you should expect to find out if the carrier/employer accepts the qme opinion and willing to finalize the claim on that basis or wants a supplemental or clarifying report.
