Old WC injury acting up
#1
I broke my leg in 2003 in MT on the job and needed surgical repair. The last time I needed to use WC to pay for my medical bills was in 2006. I never settled after that.

The injury hadn't really bothered me much until about a few months ago when I started getting worse and worse pain in the area of the injury.

I haven't injured my leg in any way since I last used WC. Would it be possible to open the case back up again, or am I just screwed since its been so long?

they are not going to take your word that there has been no new injury. if something other then the incident in 2003 is responsible they will not cover it.
you will need a medical opinion support the original injury as what is causing your current problems.
medical benefits end after 5 years but there are provisions for reopening an older claim:

Thanks. I kind of thought that would be the case.
