My state is California,
what is the time limit for claims adjuster to dispute PTP mmi report?
Insurance received the report 12/31/2015 and I received the dispute letter on 2/5/2016 which is 36 days after they received the report. The letter is dated 1/29/2016 but the post mark is dated 2/2/2016, that alone seems some what shady. Regardless of what date they put on the dispute letter it was given to the post office and mailed 33 days after they received it. I have read that you must dispute medical report and disability rating within 20 days if you are represented by council or 30 days if you are not.
This is my first time posting here and I thank any response...

Where did you read there was a time limit to dispute the ptp comprehensive medical evaluation opinion/ report?
I think there is a misreading. Please provide a citation.

the comp system modifies time frames for rules concerning service and mailing.
see

and/or

since you are not represented you may want to obtained more detailed information from the I&A officer in your area:

or the DWC medical unit:

that's a big factor in responding to comp questions as litigation has additional rules.
it only matters when your atty was notified and it's up to them to handle the QME process.
if you want to learn more then use the DWC website

Thanks for all your help with my question 1171... I have to quit worrying about what is going to happen and let the attorney deal with it I just dread going through another impairment exam.

Yup. Trying to second guess a process that you only half understand can drive you crazy.
The best you can do is try to check with your doctor as to what they are reporting and touch bases with the legal office for a status report.
Email with the secretary/ paralegal is often a better way to do that.
you can always try to settle rather then continue the litigation.
