Settlement Trial - CA
#41
I was curious if you have update on this Lionrain?

I had something similar happen...I can demonstrate - with concrete proof - where I was either lied to, or lied about - by everyone who was paid to help me. I know how hard this process is. Have you settled? How was the trial?

I had my trial last Monday. 5 year process so far. My attorney pressed me hardcore to settle and I refused. He said it would likely be bad for me. He said work comp judges don't like to see people who can't agree on a settlement. I said that - relative to the settlement offer - bad isn't much farther down the ladder than what is being offered...so I refused to settle. I don't know how long it will be before the judge makes a decision but I'm still happy I chose not to settle.

I hope you are doing well!

The judges are fine with settlement refusal when the amount is too low for the liability exposure.
