MSA AND SETTLEMENT QUESTIONS ON CALIFORNIA WC CASE SINCE 1998
#1
Hi, I just heard from Attorneys Paralegal that she received a MSA-Medicare SetAside -(which includes a third back surgery amounting to 100,000...my question is that low or normal or high?
Also, is the MSA any type indicator of settlement amount?  I appreciate any ones knowledge...thank you in Advance for any input...She is emailing it to me in 24 hours...and I'm talking to my Attorneys Paralegal at 1:00 pm tomorrow...

Thank You,Dnorcal

there is no standard back surgery medical cost. Treatment varies greatly with the location, physician, patient, complications, follow up, type of surgery, other health related conditions, etc.
your physician might be in a better position to evaluate those factors.

the cost of future treatment has little or no predictive value in establishing your permanent impairment or other issues that might be included in a settlement.
you should be given some idea of your permanent disability benefits and any other disability issues/amounts from your atty.
Reminder :
........Each state has their own comp system; POST YOUR STATE to get accurate information. Use the search feature to find information from similar questions.
THANKS FOR POSTING.
