Restriction to Work
#1
Hello Everyone,

I have a question regarding Workman's comp and return to work. I tore my labrum on the job recently and just had surgery to fix it. My workman's comp claim was approved. My doctor just put me on 2 weeks completely off work and then an additional 10 weeks at either no use of left arm or limited use of left arm.

My job requires use of both my arms (construction) there are no jobs available for me to do without fully using my left arm. Will I still be able to collect some form of payment from workers comp if my employer has no job available to accommodate my restriction?

Thank You!!

generally yes.
each state has it's own comp system and most will continue temporary total disability payments until your employer can provide modified work or you reach maximum improvement.

Reminder :
........Each state has their own comp system; POST YOUR STATE to get accurate information. Use the search feature to find information from similar questions.
THANKS FOR POSTING.
