Hello again. So I had an appointment with my neurosurgeon last week who suggested that I get a double discectomy. he stated that he's confident it will relieve the pain in my legs caused by the nerves, but cannot guarantee any relief from the back pain. He still recommended the surgery even knowing the nerve pain account approximately for only 10 percent of my pain.I was originally injured in North Dakota, but relocated to Nevada. Only recently have I moved back to my home state of Washington, where I was living while working in North Dakota. I've noticed a severe increase in pain from what I think has to do with the winter climate here. In the warmer climate I was never in this much pain and the pain was tolerable though intense. So my question is, do I risk having my benefits stopped or altered if I refuse to have surgery? Even the neurosurgeon said, aside from my two slipped discs in my back looks normal for 25 year old, and that the discs could eventually in time subside. I am very adamant about not getting the surgery, but can not afford to lose my benefits. Has anyone been in a similar situation in North Dakota? Thank you.
