looking for advice about federal workers' comp, and working in the private sector.

Question
I worked for the postal service for 23 years before being dragged through their program of National Rehab Assessment Program. That was 2 1/2 years ago, I was rehabilitated for office work which was a waste of time, then took a skilled job by becoming an alterations specialist which was with in my restrictions. I have been receiving benefits from OWCP through the training process and with my private sector job, to remain unnamed at this time.
I have received numerous feedback from co-workers that the national business has been sold and corporate management levels are being fired, and that local management is running scared. I am told that we will be required more productivity with less hours. My question is, because I can't seem to get a response from the Department of Labor OWCP claim examiner, what options do I have, if I don't return back to this job, because I have been out for the past 8 months for a non-related injury/surgery?

it probably depends on why you don't return to the job.
you may find more specific information in the Rehabilitation Procedural Manual
http://www.dol.gov/owcp/procedure-manual.htm
