Cervical neuropathy - This is driving me crazy
#11
I have an appointment with the primary Wednesday on the knee and plan to talk to him about the nerve pain with the arm.

Last night was spent in the recliner/massage chair massaging the back and using the tens unit on the shoulders and arms.

I was able to get a little relief and a few hours of sleep.

Thanks California for the suggestion of the tens unit for nerve pain.

This is a big one for me, the doctor's office will be calling me later to discuss medication for the nerve pain.

Anyone who knows me knows Bummer Knees is not one who likes to take meds.

Bummer, although a massage would feel good In my opinion A chiro would be my choice.. When I was having problems with headaches and my injury dr reffered me to the chiro they always put me on the tens unit before I seen him. I know I don't have the hardware like you do but when he used the towel trick and slightly pulled back the headaches right away would decrease. They have a wide variety of wedges/pillows that position your neck, but again I don't have the hardware...... After my torn rotor cup I have perm nerve damage and it effects my thumb and the next 2 fingers as being tingly and numb. I take gabapentin 1800 mg a day for the nerve damage in lower back, it makes me forget sometimes about the hand..lol. Have you tried your Lidoderm patches on it...? I hope you can find some relief..

Bronco I am afraid a chiro would try and adjust the neck and I have already been injured by a doctor.

I did use one of the Lideoderm patche on the arm yesterday when the tingling started. I was suprised the patch helped and I got some sleep yesterday, yea!

BK after my first cervical fusion was done, the Neuro told me to never allow anyone to touch my neck. So I would not let a Chrio touch me. Jusst my feelings
