Hello.. im new to this but I wanted to ask a question about my workers comp case. I injured my back while at work and damaged a couple nerves. Im in California and have hired a lawyer. I now have a QME Panel assigned. Is this good or bad?
just curious to know whats next...

it means you or the carrier employer has a dispute with the treating doctor's opinion.
a QME resolves medical disputes.

Thx for the response...there were 3 doctors which 2 got dismissed. This QME doctor will he determine a settlement?

I don't know what this issues are in your case.
if you or the carrier are disputing your treating doctor's rating, then the QME will provide the rating for your disability.
a QME can resolve medical disputes and they can be about most anything.

you should start your own thread when you have a different topic- it won't confuse others that come here looking for help.
you should contact other attys until you find one that you like. make sure they specialize in workers comp
