need some answers
#1
While lifting about three weeks ago, I injured my elbow. Heard a snap, then a bruise.

Bruise got worse after 5 days until I finally reported it. Got x-Rays, negative results, but arm is very messed up cannot straighten it. Doctor ordered MRI's but I have yet to do it, as I am concerned claim could get denied and I would have to pay 100%.

have been out of work for 3 weeks. I called the claim adjuster and she said in nine days she would know if claim was accepted or denied. She said she could not get an authorization on the MRI before the claim was decided.

The insurer is ***no names please***. Last week I did an hour long sit down interview recorded on tape, which they sent me. I also sent them an initial document from occupational therapy stating no use of the left arm, adjuster said she would contact temp company (injury happened with temp company) to see if there was any work I could do. No call.

In addition to this temp company I also have an independent contractor position which I have been out of work for. I did work this job 2 days after reporting injury. Any experience with ***no names please***? Time-loss pay? Suggestions?

sounds like your employer is self-insured as ***no names please*** is a 3rd party administrator only.
did you mention in your interview or when filing your claim about your other employment?
generally the adjuster needs medical confirmation from the doctors that the injury is consistent with your description of how it happened.
there is no way to predict their decision.
normally if you reported it timely and the medical supports the type of injury it'll be accepted.
with your working at non-covered employment afterward there could be a question of aggravation.
