Oregon award ?
#1
Hello,

I am 3 months out from rotator cuff surgery. So far everything has gone smoothly. I currently have physical therapy twice a week. My question is what happens when I am declared medically stable. Do all workers comp claims end in a settlement? I do not plan on going back to job at injury, is that a problem?

no all claims do not end in settlement.
when recovery is complete there are no more benefits available.
serious injuries many result in less then full recovery and some permanent impairment.

oregon provides permanent disability benefits based on an impairment rating not on wage loss so returning to work is not a factor.

Thanks! 1171 for the quick reply and the links. Would recommend talking to a workers comp attorney?

for disputes and if you don't know how to negotiate, then sure.
be aware that litigation can result in delays to a final resolution.
