I have had to appeal my work comp claim and it has finally been approved but my bosses called a meeting today with me to get me back to work since this is all over ( so they say) well they offered me a part time position or a part time temporary position either way losing my benefits. I am in Tennessee and still have dr. appts. in future, what advice can you offer me? I am thinking that it is because fmla ran out but I have been working light duty this whole time

with little information to go on I can only generalize.
make sure your doctor approves the type of work.
having a paycheck can reduce the financial hardship of a disabling injury.

still waiting for a neurosurgery appointment. They denied my claim after the orthopedic dr. saw me and I had to appeal, just now been approved and am waiting on my appointment. The bosses say my fmla ran out but I have been on light duty and the part time job is the one I am doing now. By the time I pay child care for a week, and buy gas I am not making ANY money.....my attorney said I wont hurt my claim to quit

if you are released to light work, and don't have a job you could loose your disability.

If you have a job and quit I don't see them paying you to be off. A doctor has to restrict you from working before they are going to pay you disability. Now if you have another job lined up and it is within your restriction you can do that
