But I wonder if the injured can now sue because of this and make some money

does that make them bad or ineffective or just cheaper?

counterfeit drugs and unlicensed physicians are also available in california.
wherever there is money to be made, there is also fraud.

you should stop all treatment and leave the state in order to protect yourself.

1171 I have a question. If you are an injured employee on WC is there any benefit to moving to another state? Now with that I'm asking in general not say what state you are in now but I also don't know if that would matter. In other words I'm sure once injured the state you are covered in is going to be the one with the rules that apply in each case but is there any benefit to moving to another state?
In your statement above I understand the benefit is that other states are not as likely to have as much chance of fraud but is there every any other benefit? Hope that makes sense.

Manley 1171 was being sarcastic.....However if all the workers left Calif you all would be in one hellva shape with nothing left but welfare and wetbacks to run your state and in order to be an IW you first have to have a job!

I know that but it does bring up the question. If a state like CA was famous for this kind of fraud then if you did go out of state for a treatment you would run less of a chance for fraud. To me I was just wondering if there could ever be a reason to do it other then that. I know sometime we might travel to another state to see a specialist for things like a back surgery. A friend moved to Florida because of the cold weather but I never asked if anything was different because he did. Just wondering about things like a company in this state is not going to normally work with doctors on another state and didn't know if that was good or bad.
If my case is not going to be settled and they are just going to pay the bills as they come up sometime I might be interested in moving so I would wonder how this would effect me

I bet if its happening there its happening everywhere its just a matter of looking for the paper trail.IWs have always got the dirty end of the stick. Laws in every state favor the Owner not the worker.

jayne's just an Okie who aspires to be a southern Cracker.

see how easy it is to avoid treating people as individuals when you can just throw around a pejorative slur and defame a whole group at once.
and it has the added benefit of avoiding all that troublesome thinking.....

P.S.
yes, manley you took me too literally.

i was underwhelmed that kev thought it was news worth posting especially since it would only induce fear and confusion to the most vulnerable and offered little help other then generating more $$ for attys.
