Is it true that if you have a workers comp case for an injured shoulder and then develop kidney failure during the active WC period the Insurance carrier can stop all TTD checks and cancel any settlement because the worker has gotten eligible and approved for SSDI based on End Stage Renal Disease?

it is true that if the injured cannot or refuses to participate in recovery process from his comp injury, comp benefits can be suspended until they are able to.
whether there are exceptions or special circumstances would depend on case law and may have to be litigated before the comp court.
