SSA Disabled AND Workers comp
#1
Will be getting my first SSA Disability check in a few days and I also get my TTD check from the Insurance carrier every week for the last 1 year. The SSA Disability and the workers comp issues are two different things and it is certain that I will not be going back to the work I used to do or that matter any other work in the near future till the doctors say so. Now what happens to the TTD checks, do they stop or is there a settlement. The adjustor I think wants me to go for a FCE but with all the restrictions due to the kidney problems I don't think I will be able to do much even though my injured shoulder seems to be doing fine I have not really used it for almost a year! I am 51 yrs old with a surgically repaired left rotator cuff tear for which I was awarded the workers comp in the state of Virginia in 2012.

How long does the ttd checks continue along with my offset SSA disability check. How will the IC most likely bring this to a resolution and how many months are they likely to pay the ttd for shoulder injury which cannot be put to use due to a secondary medical condition for which I am disabled by the SSA.

when a doctor determines you have reached maximum medical improvement is usually the cut off for TTD.
work comp disability will be concluded with a fixed length award for permanent disabiliy benefits.
