Question about year old lien
Florida here

So last year, after a mediation, I had an argument with an attorney and we went our separate ways. However, I thought it was implicit that I did not want to work his case any more. Anyway, a week or so later, when I have another atty, I got a lien emailed from old lawyer stating reasonable fees from any future settlement. This something I should bring up with current atty? LOL the answer seems kind of obvious when written out.
of course you can bring it up but having a disagreement doesn't invalidate his fees for prior representation or your obligation.
there will still be one fee shared between your attys.
the comp court has to approve the fees.
