Can insurance deny resubmitted request if the authorization for treatment expires?
#1

My basic question is this:

WC approved a surgery, and I may need to postpone for a couple of weeks because an aspect of post-op care has been denied. However, doing so will mean that the authorization expires and my doc would need to resubmit the request. Can they try to deny it the second time around?

Yes.
If the decision could not be changed they wouldn't put a time limit on it.
