My daughter is getting married June 2014. Yesterday was the 2nd day we went wedding dress shopping.

After 4th dress shops we found the dress. The dress will be made by a designer in Paris and will be here in 6 months.

I really had no ideal shopping for a wedding dress was this big of a deal. My wedding dress came from JC Penny's catalog and cost around $50.00, and I was happy with it.

Dennis and I told our daughter we will spend X amount on your wedding, the rest you pay for.

She spent the full amount on the wedding dress but her and the finance are working 2nd jobs and paying for rest of the wedding themselves.

My check book has a lot less in it today.

I do not understand weddings today they spend enough to buy a home and sometimes a small farm! And these couples are so stressed they don't remember a thing. Give me the money I will do something good with it that will last forever, I need a new tractor give your girlie my best

I agree with you Jayne. Denelle and Marcus are trying to put money together to pay for the wedding, it is crazy.

They are spending $800.00 just on invitations! But they will not listen to anyone and want to do this themselves.

They both have one more semester of college left and need to focus on finishing school.
