to file (a claim) or not to file
If I make a claim, I'm worried that my employer will know that I am also looking for another job (I don't want to get fired, but I am looking for another job!). I say that, because there will be no way that I can continue the type of labor that I am doing. If I can't work at the rate I need to be, what will happen?. Does it matter if I claim and then quit? It could take months for me to find other work, but do I need to stay employed to the original employer of the WC claim? And, can potential employers see that there is a claim and have it affect possible future employment opportunities? TIA. Worried and stressed (probably for nothing). Sad
If there is light work available but you've quit then no disability payments.
The other benefits would not be affected.
litigated claims are public records. Some carriers make claims information available-- others don't.
