Parts of Oklahoma are under a tornado emergency issued by the national weather service.
A tornado emergency is worse than a tornado warning.
As if Oklahoma hasn't been pounded enough by storms.
Going to post a link.

not just tornados Kathy but flash floods all around us the rivers and creeks are full and overflowing. In the county next to us We lost a police officer he was trying to rescue families from their homes that were flooded 2 of his fellow officers are still missing. They are all from Arkansas but we live just 7 miles in from the state line. This accident happened less than 30 miles from home. The storms that are in the city now will hit us around 2-3 in the morning so do I take my night meds and pray or stay awake and watch? I think I will take my meds and leave it in the hands of the Lord.I even tried to pick a fight with 1171 to take my mind of the storms and it didnt work....I do believe in the years we have grown to semi respect each others views....you watch out also these storms are up your way also.....you planning a trip to Branson anytime this year?

I understand how exhausting it is to live in tornado alley.
I am afraid to sleep at night with tornados around.
Being hearing impaired a tornado could be outside my front door and I would never hear it.
Prayers are with you Jayne, hope your family gets some rest today.
