Contacted dr for treatment, received call back from his attorney
#1
Is this normal??? In Maryland....I contacted a dr through email who does treatment in other states. He asked for brief summary of injury and treatment. After sending it to him all of the replies back are from his attorney. He references the doctor and the doctors plan of treatment and how well the treatment works, then says have your attorney contact me to schedule you.

Now i feel like my personal info is floating around some lawyers office (unless he is in dr office). And am getting a hard press to have the treatment. "Time is of the Essence" / Is this a scam???

Crazy is I was told about this dr from a therapist who had a patient who went to him. He has a website and credentials. Just never thought I would be dealing with a lawyer.

it's not uncommon for certain doctors to advertise and market their services thru attys and law firms.
they can try to collect exorbitant fees by filing liens with the court.
high medical costs are one of the most prevelant methods lawyers use to incentivize insurance companies into a high/quick settlements.

and yes the treatment provided rarely has any other purpose then generating fees.

Reminder :
........Each state has their own comp system; POST YOUR STATE to get accurate information. Use the search feature to find information from similar questions.
