Maryland - hearing and unsure what to make of it???
#1
Just had hearing 2 weeks ago, Not sure what the commisisoner meant.
She said "if your treatment didn't work you should be ending this case because you are evidently not going to get better and have been in the system for 5 years now"

I was there asking for TTD which stopped last year after I was told by work hardening that it wasn't helping me and there was nothing more they could do for me.

The insurance company attorney said they shouldnt have to pay because I quit the program.

So still havent been for a IME so i guess I am not at MMI. But after the commissioner said this would this mean that I am entitled to TTD this entire time because I cannot work. I have 2 doctors that have said I will never be able to work again.

Does anyone know what my outcome might be or what I should be asking for? I hate this system. Thank you!

sounds like the commissioner wants you to settle out your claim.
i suspect you won't get a decision putting you back on TTD but without knowing the evidence i can't say for sure.
the carrier should definitely get a report on your MMI status.

sounds like you agree with the commissioner. have you asked your doctor for your MMI status?

Reminder :
........Each state has their own comp system; POST YOUR STATE to get accurate information. Use the search feature to find information from similar questions.
THANKS FOR POSTING.

Thank you, Yes I did ask the doctor what he thinks. And he said the same thing as the work hardening, that I will never be able to work gain. I don't want this so I was trying to get better on my own even trying non traditional therapy. However, the commissioner doesnt think it will work and said to end it. Then said she would order one last treatment, but didnt have high hopes that I would get better. I just don't know if this means that the TTD will be reinstated while I try this. Also my pain doctor put me out of work for the next year and half.
Any ideas????

both, if you cant work and had a job a but now your not getting paid by anyone, sdi, and if you can not ever work again, ssdi, ssdi takes a long time to get approved, a long time. sdi takes 6 to 8 weeks here in california,,,
