Hi
I just received my settlement offer from Workmans Comp. Rating doctor said , " The patient's case may be adjudicated and closed with an award of 9% whole person impairment." On the D-9a form, the workmans comp agent wrote 5% Body Basis Verification which was used for the calculations. So what is the difference between Whole person impairment and body basis impairment? Did the work comp agent make a mistake in the D9a form. Was she supposed to use 9%. I had a trimalleolar fracture on the job. Also, if I take the lump sum offer, do i give my right for future medical due to the ankle break? thank you for your time.
