Driving while taking prescribed narcotics
this is an old thread. rather then resurrect it you should start your own especially as there are other issues and other state laws involved.

whether you can drive or not may depend on whether you are under the influence of your drugs. if you can't vary when you take them around when you have to drive then maybe you'll have to find other transportation.
as is stated earlier in this thread: how you get to and from work is not the employer or carrier's responsibility.

you would have to discuss your medical restrictions with your state licensing bureau.
you can object to the referee doctor and challenge their credentials. talk to your atty about such a desperate strategy.
you need to look into vocational rehabilitation thru workers comp or on your own -DARS
