TIP to view medical images on disc...
#1
a TIP for those that need help...

medical imaging especially CT scans uses a format that is often not viewable on PCs without special software.
if you have a DVD/CD of medical images or your health care provider can provide you with one, and the images are not viewable in common image formats, you may need to download a view program to your PC or Mac.
the one that is most available is eFilm lite.
you can use any search engine to locate a download source for this program.
once installed this program will allow the images to be viewed directly and/or exported to common jpg format or avi format.

DICOM is a file format and there are many viewer/display programs for it but there are other formats as well and a DICOM viewer may not be able to access them.
