my case is in rhode island. I have been on wc, for two years. I had surgery over two months ago on my back and I am no better. some days i actually feel worse. My claim was tpd(total partial disaibility). My lawyer went to court to try and get total disability. He did win the case, but its total with a closed period of time. Does anyone know what total disability with a closed pariod of time mean???? not clear on that. Thanks for any input!

tpd generally stands for temporary partial disability e.g you are working at less then full salary and comp pays disability on the difference while you are recovering from an injury.
"total" and "partial" are contradictory terms.
sounds like full disability payments up to the Maximum rate with a fixed start and ending date,
