Question about CT scan for cervical spine
#1
I have a question about having a CT scan?

I am scheduled for a CT scan in the morning of the cervical spine?

With the lumbar spine a MRI last almost an hour.

Anyone know how long a CT scan of the cervical spine last?

Having a CT scan over an MRI is the way to go!

Only took about 15/20 minutes, did not have to worry about metal on the clothing entering the machine.

Will have the written report in about a week. The neurosurgeon is being cautious the auto accident did not cause any problems with the hardware.

Well that part is good news, I'm so glad there's no problems with the hardware Smile

Don't have it confirmed yet by the CT yet.

I am in physical therapy 3 X a week for the thoracic and cervical injuries. There is rotation with the vertebrea's form t-7 to t-12. THe left side is still tight with spasms along with the hip but I do see improvement being in physical therapy.

I received forms from the other driver's insurance company, they are asking for my health insurance information and medicare information. Not going to give the information to them.

I received the results of the CT scan today.

No changes from the previous one in April except at C4-5.

The report reads: narrowing of the intervertebral disc space is seen.

This is the level above the fusion.

Time to do some research and figure out what this means.
