So it will cost me the same amount no matter what I do?

Yes, the same% just split between them. Thats what i dont like they get half the money so theyll probably do half the work. Ive been thinking about it too, but not sure

Thanks for the info....has anybody had mid and lower back pain from a cervical fusion...they keep telling me that's not from my neck but it never hurt like this before....

8-05, Micro laminectomy/disectomy. 10-05 lumbar fusion L5-S1. 2-07 exploritory surgery. 12-07 medical implant, Spinal Cord Stimulator. now receiving SSDI. After going back to school, I received my degree as a mechanical engineer. What can I say, it was the only way I had to beat the system.

id like to get rid of him but im afraid of the lack of enthusiasm from a new lawyer having to split fees, i wasnt familiar with WC or my injury when this happened, i thought id would be back at work in no time and any lawyer would help speed things up(WC was dragging thier feet). i shouldve done my homework first. i just took the atty my friend recomended. huge mistake but ill definately look into it now thanks

Mine was referred to me by my PI attorney who is also a good friend of the family and a great lawyer. He got me 100$k in four months from the person who hit me ins company. And he highly recommended the wc lawyer but he is still involved for free as a personal friend on the sidelines and confers with my we lawyer regularly. So I guess I got pretty lucky!

thats really good, theres nothing like having confidence in your atty, it takes away alot of stress, alot different on the flip side, its just another thing i didnt think i had to deal with. im looking into it today(switching attys). i know theres not much for them to do untill settlement time but to be completely ignored is rediculous especially when its such a perfect case for them, no disputes from ins company at all and totally documented. i got an atty to speed things up and 8 months later im still in the same spot. i cant blame anyone but myself. always research what you dont know anything about before you make big decisions(ive never dealt with WC or any atty), up till now i couldve done this myself. i hope an atty will help me in the future proceedings
