College Job Fair
#1
My daughter is in her 2nd semester at the state university, she started in pre-vet and switched to animal science.

She has 3 more semesters before she graduates with a bachelor in animal science.

Today she went to her 2nd on campus job fair and has an employer very interested in her. They have made the offer of paying for her school if she will work for them for 2 years.

The employers name............

USDA

The Vet we use worked for the USDA for 6 years, he's 68 now (still practices), they not only paid for his schooling in Manhattan but provided for his housing when he graduated. But that was over 35 years ago, I'd ask for it in writing. There are many small towns, counties throughout KS that will do the same in return for working there for a number of years once you graduate. Sedgwick county won't do it, Butler will in some areas, I'd check into that. Not the same working for the government anymore.

Thanks Jayne & BB.

This would be working with a vet, something she has experience with as she has worked with a vet for the past two years, even did a c-section on a cow at the sale barn.

Our family has lived the country life, my daughter is a known barrel racer, grew up in 4-H. Nothing like one of your children having their pig or cow in the 4-H auction and watching the bidders fight over the animal.
