went out to our favorite camp ground today was just driving around to see how much of it had been reserved for the upcoming holiday. we saw the camp manager and stopped to speak to him.We found out that state camps have had their budgets cut to the bone and they are having a terriable time taking care of the camps they way they need taking care of his job which is normally a desk job has him out cleaning the park to get it done and it still doesnt get done...when we told him we were looking to see if there was a place for our church camp in October as well as a place for us for the coming holiday...he offered the group camp free to the church if the church would come clean the park for the coming holiday....blow the pads free of leaves and pick up limbs and things in the camp area....take our youth about 3 hours and save us several hundred dollars...thought that was really nice of him....I knew things were tough for the park system but had no idea how tough...we would have to camp in the over flow primitive...but its where they like to camp anyhow...except for me anyhow and I have to have electric....I am spoiled...but will do with propane I guess....ick...

That is truley a great deal. Our parks and state campgrounds are doing the same.. In fact many of the campgrounds are now offering to select people to be the camp host and doing so you get free electric and can stay the summer for free. Of course there are other duties involved.

That was a good trade off Jayne and I think we will see more of this type of thinking in the future.

I am wondering if we can do it for ourselfs we do love to camp and are going on tuesday for a week...
