Sorry it happened in SC..they are slower than a yr. itch. Everyday I go to the mailbox and nothing is there..I am getting so depressed. When I spoke with my lawyer, he said he would contact the lawyer for the other side. That was last week..dont you think I should have received something my now..oh, yeah, get this...they sent me a rx card in the mail 1 week before they approved my case. and I took it after my case was approved and tried to use it..they refused to pay for the rx.

the next step is a request for penalties and hearing in comp court.

I'm in SC too and have been where you are. They approved me for benefits but took several weeks before the checks came. I had to get my lawyer to intervene several times to get the ball rolling. It took weeks before the checks started and yes they did pay retroactively "sort of"..which means that even though they agreed that I should be paid and it was retro they did not pay me what they owed me and I have yet to get the rest.
Good luck and stay in touch with your lawyer. Keep track of all paperwork and record your mileage to and from your appointments.
