All I wanted was time off from work to heal from my undisputed work injury, I didnt know it was going to become a "case". I got an atty thinking I needed one because of the paperwork, etc. I am feeling better now, and I am hoping my doc will release me without any restrictions. My employer has me out on workers comp leave. They said there are some positions open for me if I have no work restrictions. I want to drop this whole case and get on with my life but I want my job back. If I drop the case before I am returned to work, I would think my employer wont let me come back because its no longer workers comp leave.
What are the best steps to take so that I can go back to work and not have to deal with any more work comp issues such as having to see the AME and go through a depo when I dont even want a settlement, just want to return to work. Should I first dismiss the attorney then call the claims adjuster to tell him my thoughts??? I just want to take the correct steps in this. My goal and the atty's goal are different. I could care less about a settlement, me being well enough to make a living on my own is rewarding enough to me.
