Hi everyone its been awhile since Ive been on . I'm from Illinois I was hurt back in 03-09 I, T- boned a car that turned left in front of me while test driving a scooter. Don't laugh I couldn't avoid it anyhow in 05/09 the ic sent me to a ime he said nothing wrong returned to work no restrictions. I couldn't so i was fired. My lawyer directed me to see a neuro specialist , He found medical evidence of herniated disc and said I need further treatment this was back in 10/09 now the ic had sent me to another ime as of 08/10 he said today I did not need surgery because i have reflex in my knee . basically if i had a pinched nerve i would not have any reflex in my knee. is this true?.

Believe me been their done that already, 1171 I didn't see anything that stipulated that if you have reflex in your leg that you don't have any issues regarding pain in lower back buttocks and down my calf , It's a shame both sides have to bickering of specifics I just want help .

That is because what if the Nerve isn't Pinched, but, just has pressure on it. Then you have knee reflex. Or lets say your laying down when knee reflex is checked, no pressure, do it standing up, and there's presure.
You only seen an IME whore is all, and did limited testing only, as they are only there to help the IC. Now you should see your treating doctor, and get an update evaluation. And have them commit on the IME report. get attorney moving on this.

Oh, in Illinois, the IME doesn't always over ride what your doctor states. As your doctor's medical opinion is stronger.

I'm in Illinois and WC sent me to MO for an IME to say I didn't need a SCS. My doctor wrote a very nice and long detailed report as to why everything the IME doctor said was bull. He put medical fact and where to find the correct info and why this IME doc was wrong. Then in the depo the IME doctor really feel apart. Was a complete waste of the employers money to send me but I got a paid day off and a few bucks in my pocket for the trip

maybe they are refering to your response to the babinski reflex test:
The presence of a Babinski's reflex after age 2 is a sign of damage to the nerve paths connecting the spinal cord and the brain (the corticospinal tract). This tract runs down both sides of the spinal cord, therefore a Babinski's reflex can occur on one side or on both sides.
