I have recently been placed on "light duty" my employer has agreed to modify my duties so as to not aggravate my injury but has increased my hours worked considerably. I have now worked 13 consecutive days and have pulled many 12 hour shifts...is this ok? None of the duties themselves over tax my injuries but I feel it is crazy to expect these hours out of me when I am suppose to be recovering. I have had to reschedule some physical therapy sessions and what not to accomodate work and it has been a huge anxiety in my general life. Do I have any complaint here? or should I just be happy I am working?

As long as they employer keeps you working, and within your restrictions, it is all very legal. But, is also very good for you, and healing, even though you don't see it that way, but, it is the best way. Maybe even better then PT as it keeps you active. I wished, I see more employers like this.

workers comp laws do not control hours worked.
only your doctor can say whether it is physically within your work restrictions.
as far as the labor laws allow you'll have to contact your labor commission to find out oregon rules.

Are they paying you overtime for all hours worked over 40 in a week? Depending on the type of work you do, it could assist with your rehab. but then again it could be too much or the wrong type of exercise for your injury.
Check out the Labor Laws in your state and be sure to continue with your Physical Therapy.
