............was done at 6 a.m. this morning. Glad it is over and I am doing well. Vicadin is kicking butt, literally. Unit implanted in right buttock. That is the only area that REALLY hurts and I expect it to for a few days. Soft cervical collar for a few weeks. Had 16 staples between two incisions, and I was awake under light anesthesia throughout the entire procedure. Not exactly fun, but I am a good patient. LOL! I liked not being heavily sedated at I was able to walk out of there about an hour post op.
Sleepy now, so I'll check back soon. Thanks for the support!

8-05, Micro laminectomy/disectomy. 10-05 lumbar fusion L5-S1. 2-07 exploritory surgery. 12-07 medical implant, Spinal Cord Stimulator. now receiving SSDI. After going back to school, I received my degree as a mechanical engineer. What can I say, it was the only way I had to beat the system.
