WC in Hawaii, Hello all just like to know if the IC have that right to send my medical record to another doctor to review it without my consent. The IC are changing the story around on my medical records and puting words in my doc and IME mouth to make it sound like my injury is not work related.
I can't find me a lawyer here on the Bigisland to represent me. If you know any attorney please send it my way. Thanks
James

yes, they can get a second opinion without your consent -- it is the employers insurance and their records.

Thanks 1171 appreciated. How do I go about or is there a way I can counter back with an explanation letter concerning the letter sent to me by the IC saying my injury is not work related by their doctors review and what ever else they claim.
Should I be looking for some kind of form to do my explanation or can I just write an explanation and send it to the IC and labor board.

if they are denying your claim then your best bet is a lawyer

you need to request a hearing before the work comp board. they will review the evidence submitted and make a decision.
