The reason it's important is because most states have a specific time limit from the date of injury in which to file your report of injury. If there was an "event" and you did not file the clock is ticking and you might want to get the paperwork filed. If there was no event (specific) you don't have to worry about what WC thinks because they won't cover it.
If you file w/ your employer in the st of Oklahoma within 90 days is is considered cummulative. the doctors will have to sort out was is natural deterioration and what is repetative.
