Trashed at work in California,
Soo I am asking for any tips or help on what I should do, I am kind of lost and time is going by and my back doesn't seem to be getting and better,
I have a attorney but he doesn't talk much, although he has been getting me the medical treatments being both shoulder surgeries... right and left shoulder, and I got a mri on my back and different treatments are being tried on my back but my attorney doesn't give me any insight on what were looking at in the future, and I've tried to bring some of the things I have written below up but he seems like he isn't really interested in talking to me about these things.

I am going to try to make a long story short, hopefully I make since here.....OK so I am wondering if the place I work for is responsible for how badly I got trashed at work and for how badly my work place made me worthless to move on to a different employer, before I got hurt at work I was definitely one of the top ranking employee's that was getting wage increases quite often, even though I was getting raises pretty often
I was getting tired of some of the BS around work so I put in a application at a very good  company that I worked at before and got laid off due to economics, in between when I turned in the application and the time they called me for an interview I told a coworker that I was looking for another job, he told my boss and my boss had a talk with me and told me.. hay please don't leave you are one of the best people I have here and he ask me what it will take to keep me there, I told him to let me think about it, in the mean time my plan was to still leave because the place I worked at before and was going to go back to is a awesome job with a lot more pay and benefits with a great retirement plan, soooo while I was waiting for the call from my ex employer I got injured at work, when my ex employer called I told them I would not be able come to work for them right now because I got injured,

I have a few different work related injuries- both shoulders in 2013, and my back in 2016, I am on modified duty right now and have been on modified from 2013 to I am still on it, and pretty much feel like a wasted soul, right now with the way the economy is there are some very good job openings and I cant do anything about it, I am pretty much stuck where I am at.

Any help or tips on what I should do would be appreciated.
As you've discovered, The legal system and attys are ok for resolving disputes and settling; not so much on rest-of-life issues. California comp has some monetary help and A VR counselor can help with the planning.

The previously provided links will still be helpful.

Calfornia will have a physcian rate the permanent impairment from your injuries.
The disability rating formula has a component for diminished future earning capacity as well as one for age and occupation. These are used along with the impairment rating to determine additional permanent disability payments.
There are no tips or tricks to using the formula.
It's here
There is also a return to work supplement program
And a training voucher

You can also contact a vocational rehabilitation specialist to aid in your transition

Basic info on California comp is here

It'll be up to you to use these benefits to develope a new career within your restrictions.
