house arrest while out on workers comp - msb2020 - 01-12-2020

Good Afternoon,

I have been out on workers comp due to a heart injury from my job for the past 7 months. About 2 months ago, I received a certified letter from my job telling me that I needed to be "in my home" from 830am until 5pm monday thru friday while I'm out of work.

I've spoke to my work comp atty and she has never heard of this. I wanted to find out if anyone else have dealt with this as well or knows of any case law as to if this is/isn't constitutional.

I haven't been able to find anything online.

Thanks for any and all insight!

Each state has there own comp laws thats why we ask you post yours.
i Know of no state that has given Insurance carriers the power confine a person to a residence.

P. S.
They can request that a person make themselves available for an interview/statement.
But its usually at the claimants convenience.
