Changes to the California work comp laws in 2012 gave workers $800 M in disability benefits in return for a reduction of $1.8 B in medical costs.

Are they receiving more PD because they are more disabled due to not receiving medical treatment?

no.
the increase in weekly rate was most of the increase and the automatic 1.4 factor for all Future Earning Capacity calculation was the rest.

Thank you for the clarification.

I would like to see the vouchers paid to injured workers automatically when they becomes eligible. Many injured workers are not aware of that benefit or how to apply and why millions are going uncollected.

I know vouchers are not part of PD but part of the changes with SB863. I miss being able to edit posts.

Yes.theres not enough traffic to make maintenance a priority. At some point this forum will cease.
