Attorney told me to cash out claim and use own health insurance - wcthaway - 04-15-2019

Went to a QME. My lawyer told me to just cash out future medical for 40,000 and move on with my life.

I asked him about the surgery I need on my knee, and he told me to just use my own health insurance.

Would my own health insurance pay for it? Will I go to jail for fraud?

No. Many health insurers will cover prior health problems. There is no harm in asking your health insurer before you decide to settle.

Glad that was helpful.
