Can my defense attorney obtain records from my psychiatrist for my non-psych claim? - caworkerscompqs - 01-29-2019

I'm in California.

I got an attorney to file my workers comp claim last year. I just had my deposition, where the defense attorney asked me if I've taken any meds in the last 24 hours. I was honest and told him I took my psychotropic meds. Then he asked me the name of the Psychiatrist that prescribed them to me, along with their address, which I provided.

Can the defense attorney obtain medical records from my psychiatrist even though my claim isn't psych related? If so, how much information can they obtain? I'm concerned about whether they'll see very personal details from my conversations with my psychiatrist. I'd greatly appreciate any information - thank you.
