MMI and ratings question - milkman0966 - 06-20-2018 State of Alabama. I had surgery back in Feb on my shoulder. I had a full tear of the rotator cuff , tore lebrun, and tore bicep. They put 4 anchors in. I have done therapy and also a FCE. I go for my results tomorrow. My question is are all 3 given seperate ratings? I can see the rotator cuff and lebrun being the shoulder but the bicep is the arm. Thanks in advance for any input. RE: MMI and ratings question - 1171 - 06-21-2018 All body parts damaged by the injury are rated for permanent impairment. The AMA rating guide then provides instructions for combining them into a single whole body rating. RE: MMI and ratings question - milkman0966 - 06-21-2018 Thank you for your response. I did post my state at the start of my post. Alabama is where I live. So all 3 will be combined into 1 rating. Do they factor in strength loss? When I done my FCE my right arm is weaker now than my left. I'm right hand dominant. Thanks again. RE: MMI and ratings question - 1171 - 06-21-2018 The AMA GUIDES do provide ratings for atrophy and weakness. Your doctor should have a copy of the guidelines and let your review them or provide information on the rating process. RE: MMI and ratings question - milkman0966 - 06-21-2018 Thank you .
