What type of settlement amount should I be looking for? - Redtux - 01-18-2018

Hello -

I am new to this forum. I am having my final L&I medical exam today. I broke my femur bone 6/27/18. They had to put a titanium medal rod in my leg. I am 65 years old, and really concerned about side effects from this injury as I get older. I live in the state of WA. What type of settlement amount should I be looking for? I was doing such research on line for the WAC and RCW rules on this but could not find any regarding broken bones.

Thank you
Kerri Kroll

Depends on what benefit you are settling: entire claim, permanent impairment, medical, other benefits,...

For info on how a doctor rates PD in an extremity ask your physcian or review the AMA guides from a medical library

For more info about Permanent partial disability:

Can I get independent advice on disability awards?
Yes - you can call Project HELP at 1-800-255-9752. They are a cooperative effort between L&I and the Washington State Labor Council (AFL-CIO), and can provide you with individual claims assistance on your behalf.
Project HELP staff can assist you with both self-insured and state fund claims, but they are not attorneys and do not give legal advice.
