Nevada ppd settlement answers - Mheath16 - 05-14-2017

After days of checking with my attorney and DIR , here is the final answer on the calculation of ppd settlement.
It's your monthly wage(already agreed with the adjuster) x 0.006 x ranking%. And then the time from last ttd payment to settlement date and the age.

Ex: 2000 monthly wage x .006=$12.00 x % ranking.-

It is not 6% of your monthly wage it is .06 of your monthly wage. I had several people at DIR say it's 6% it's not.

Good luck everyone. Nevada sucks on their payouts.

Yes, the written worksheet from the state's website that I posted was correct. it's not .0006 that was used in the calculation you were given nor the .06 you were using/expecting.

Trying to figure out how to calculate a Nevada PPD. I have been rated at 27% but have no idea how to figure anything. Can anyone assist?

I have tried but I am not sure what I am suppose to be plugging into some of the questions. I make a bit over $5000 per month, I am 42 and was just rated at 27% PPD.

seems like its $5000 x .006 x 27% =

8.91.

I got that number... I just don't know what it means or how it applies for a settlement.

You posted that you did not know how to calculate the numbers.
Now you say that was not your problem. I'm confused as to what help you need.

If your injury leaves you with some permanent impairment, the amount of impairment is rated and used to calculate addional disability payments. Injured workers often call these payments a "settlement".  $8.91 is your monthly payment.

Glad we could clear that up for you.
Thanks for posting.
