RECEIVED STIPULATION AWARD - ajcateeb - 10-11-2016

this year 2016 I just Received a lum sum stipulation  retoropayment award to cove  the diffrent of the montly  EDD payment and my actual salary I was recieving back in 2013 .
i currently receive TD social security and would like to know if this amount will effect my current social securiy monthly TD payment? CAlifornia resident

social security questions are best asked on a social security message board.

I'll attempt an interpretation of the SS rule (link below):
if your SDI payments overlap the workers comp disability period, then SS will have to correct it's calculation to account for corrected disability payment amount.

whether the new calculation hits the 80% cap is unknown.
