Does WC payments continue after you've reached your MMI - TJLindstrom - 05-01-2014

I had a MMI/Impairment rating done on 4/15/14. The Dr that did it said I reached my MMI on 2/27/14. He did not have the dr visits reports from my April visit nor did he have my PT reports from March or April. The WC dr still has me off til mid May. I'm disputing the MMI report and WC has granted me to get another MMI from my treating dr. My question is my payments stopped today since the MMI was reach in Feb, since I'm disputing the MMI and was granted another one, will my payments start back up til the new MMI is done.

"WC has granted me to get another MMI from my treating dr."

I assume "WC" means the comp carrier and not the comp court or state agency.

I don't know what all was discussed at this time. did they say they would go by your treating doctor's second report and throw out rating doctor's report?
I'm not sure why they would accept your doctor's opinion no matter how often it was given.
as long as MMI date is in dispute I would think TTD would stop.
a medical opinion is only evidence; not a legal decision or resolution of a dispute.

Laws very by state, for example, MMI in PA does not stop your wage loss benefits. What state's laws are you collecting under?

I'm in Texas. My last payment was on 5-1-14. I have all my dispute papers signed and returned back to Worker's Comp. Now, I'm just wanting on my next MMI.
